Efinix and Future Electronics:
FPGA Workshop Recap

Oct 21, 2025

The Benefits of System-in-Package

On September 24, 2025, Efinix® and Future Electronics hosted a hands-on FPGA workshop in Milpitas, where attendees explored Efinix tools, RISC-V demos, and Titanium device capabilities. The event encouraged open discussion, practical learning, and close collaboration between Efinix, Future Electronics engineers, and customers.

Collaboration and Takeaways

The session reflected strong teamwork between both companies and active participation from attendees.

Tony Moore, Advanced Engineer and FPGA Specialist at Future Electronics, shared:

“Attendance at the workshop was outstanding, with full participation from those who registered. With Efinix on-site along with our Future FAEs it was a great collaboration on supporting customer software installations, installing drivers, providing lab support, and demonstrating the direct support available to customers.”

Matt Martinez, FAE FPGA Specialist at Future Electronics, added:

“The workshop identified new potential customers and showed the ease of use of Efinix tools on one of the best FPGAs Efinix has to offer.”

Jerold Kunzman, Sales Director at Efinix, said:

“The partnership made the event seamless from setup to customer support and created a relaxed environment for genuine customer interaction.”

Customer Engagement and Insights

Participants shared valuable technical feedback that will help improve future sessions.

Tony Moore explained:

“The Zadig driver installation was an issue getting set up on customer computers. Some customers would like to see separate instructions for Windows and Linux installations. We also learned that Java needs to be installed, otherwise some Efinix tools for IDE will not work properly.”  (Tip: read the guidelines in the Efinity Software Installation User Guide)

    Matt Martinez said:

"Many attendees had questions about downloads and debugging, which will guide refinements to setup instructions and workshop materials."

    Feedback and What’s Next

Attendees showed growing interest in Efinix device performance and next-generation Titanium products.

    Matt Martinez shared:

“One customer was interested in the memory controller capabilities on the Ti375 and realized they could increase memory bandwidth by switching to Ti375N1156 given it has dual hardened controllers at 3.3 Gbs.”

    Tony Moore added:

"Customers wanted to hear more about next-generation Titanium devices larger than the Ti375 and suggested adding a 10 G Ethernet demo for future sessions."

    Jerold Kunzman summarized:

"Attendees got the information they needed, not just on Efinix tools but on other technologies and FPGA alternatives.”

Efinix and Future Electronics plan to continue these workshops in several more cities. Follow both companies on LinkedIn for upcoming dates.
