Tony Ngai
Co-President, Chief Technology Officer, Co-Founder
Tony Ngai is a co-founder of Efinix and has served as a member of our board of directors since our founding in September 2012. He has served as our Chief Technology Officer since April 2014 and as a Co-President since January 2026. He has also served as our Executive Vice President, Engineering from December 2025 to January 2026.
Mr. Ngai has more than 30 years of experience developing FPGAs, and prior to co-founding Efinix held engineering and architecture roles at companies including Altera Corporation, Xilinx, Inc., Lattice Semiconductor Corporation, and AT&T Bell Laboratories. Mr. Ngai brings a combination of FPGA architecture, integrated circuit design, and place-and-route software expertise that underlies our proprietary Quantum architecture. Mr. Ngai holds a Bachelor of Science and a Master of Science degree in Electrical Engineering from the University of Toronto.
